Virtual forest provides a new element for examining forestry measures and assessing and comparing their effects. The realistic forest environment can be monitored at ground level or from the air, both in its current state and in the future.
Virtual forest also provides a new type of tool for the inclusive planning of use of natural resources and the harmonisation of source of livelihood in nature areas. New applications can also be found in other lines of business (such as tourism) that are important to the region of Lapland.
The application will be available to be downloaded for free at a later date.
