At the Science Centre Pilke exhibition you will have the opportunity to explore the forest with all your senses and from many different angles.
Did you know that for some people, forests are their “office”? That they are a rich source of new materials and innovations? A habitat for plants and animals? And an important part of Finnish culture?
Get behind the wheel of a forestry machine, climb into a bird house and sing karaoke on an ant hill. Find all the timber components used to build the largest single item on display at Pilke, the timber-framed Pilke House! New experiences, new discoveries!

In Pilke Shop, you can also find gifts and souvenirs for all of your senses, and many of the products cannot be found elsewhere in Rovaniemi. There are products for even a more demanding taste and the whole family is sure to find something delighful from the shop’s selection.
At Pilke, we have a coffee vending machine available for your use, as well as a space where you can eat your own snacks or a packed lunch. For bigger hunger, the nearby Arktikum Café is open for Pilke visitors. Entrance to Arktikum Café does not require a ticket.
Access for disabled
The Pilke House is accessible to disabled people. There is wheelchair access through the main door and an elevator that carries visitors to the exhibition hall. A toilet is located on the same floor as the main entrance to the building.
The parking space is located in front of Pilke House mainentrance, More parking space are located in front of Arktikum entrance.
Coat racks are located in the entrance hall beside the Pilke Shop.
Toilets are located on the entrance floor, close to the coat racks.
